That is a steal Bee!

My mom is getting free firewood from a befriended carpenter. But it's still very good wood, most of it is 2x3"s and 3 foot long, so I've been hoarding it for future projects! Mom is not happy about it, but i think it's a waste to just burn it. Especially since I just bought a new house and will start a new garden. Projects for this wood will come!

Got another great one today!
I was at a project with my old firm, to give a tour of the build of a villa, with outdoor pool and an outhouse. I made the building plans/drawings for everything, nearly 3000 hours of work, including lots of meetings.
The outhouse was supposed to be without building permit, a neighbour complained and it turned out that for a permit free building, the roof should be all sloped no flat roofs. Oops that was part of our job, a colleague of mine did all those municipality rule work. So the roof has to come down and be redone.
So while talking to the contractor, mainly about the oak trusses, he said it's gotta go just need to find someone who wants it, do you want it haha. Uhm yeah I want them! Oh okay they're yours. Great thanks!! :celebrate

Still cannot quite believe it. And probably won't until I actually have them, as the client might change his mind like they've done many times before, hence my workload on this project.
Three oak trusses, I will come up with a great little project for them!

I have been laughing over this. I just have to tell you. In the Southern United States, an outhouse is an outdoor toilet, with no running water. Before modern amenities, every home had an outhouse. My husband was raised very poor, with no electricity, running water, and no indoor plumbing at all, until he was 11 years old. And they had an outhouse!:lol::lol:

Tell you how stupid I was....when I read it I was amazed that someone would build an outhouse today especially with that large of a roof. Until you posted what we call outhouses, never clicked....& I’m not blonde although am grey haired-more white than grey.
