Sure, I'll try to remember to swing by on Thursday and get a pic. I'm not due to work there again until Monday.
I'm secretly really nervous about them getting that same disease that afflicted the last planting...it was quite the head scratcher. She said the same thing happened to her plantings in those pots last year (before I was on the scene) She does spray paint those pots every season, and now I'm wondering if that could be a factor? She doesn't paint inside them, but it is refreshed on the inside rim. :idunno

Okay, finally got time to take some pics of my hanging baskets. As you can see, the parrots beak needs to "spill" over more.

The overall look:

Close up of the BLACK petunias, which I just love!! The flash went off and they look really velvety in this pic!

Oooh, those petunias are so plush looking, makes you want to pet them! Is that white lupine in your front bed? I don't see white often, it's pretty. :)

yeah, so, funny thing about the lupine: it used to be purple! I was just reading the thread about the yarrow changing colors, and was wondering what may have changed my lupine plant...it's an old plant, been there a long time, was purple last year though!

I love those black petunias- very cool looking! Such a nice contrast with your siding... A house that I drive by has black hollyhocks, which look really neat too.
Instead of thrillers, and spillers this year- I planted the eugenia topiary in my pots. Here is a pic of one--

I like your grouping, particularly the black petunias and parrots beak. I'd like to use them in some of my containers - as you say, it will be really great when the parrots beak has "spilled" a little more!

Those black petunias are so dramatic........

BLACK HOLLYHOCKS!!!!!! No way. I think i might need them. Now where would i put them... I'm really not a huge fan of pink or white bloomers, even tho i have both... And i really dont like a huge variety of different colors blooming together in one area at the same time. I have actually been sorting out tulip bulbs as they bloom (for the past 5 years!) and grouping them into separate beds by color. (i know, a TAD bit anal...) sooooo black hollyhocks and black petunias sound like my kind of a match!!
