Crop rotation? blight

I know it is important not to plant my tomatoes where they were last year. I would like to plant potatoes there- but I think the blight affects both?? Should I avoid potatoes and tomatoes? Thanks!

Both are susceptible to early and late blight I think. Might be a good idea to plant the potatos somewhere else (if you can) if you have had some occurrence of blight. :)
