It was a good question actually! I was very confused about it before somebody explained it to me.

A triploid usually has larger parts - leaves,stalks, flowers - than a diploid. Both super scientific-y sounding words refer to how many copies of a chromosome that the plant has. If you do notice one be sure to let us know!
