Cucumber, etc. Water Needs

Bad year for cukes in my garden. I picked half a dozen nice ones, then the black aphids swarmed in overnight. They're pretty crippled now. I don't think they'll recover.I'll probably just take them out and use that trellis space for something else.

I was back at the garden to look at the melons and cucumbers this afternoon.

Six days since they set out and with all the wind, I don't think they've done a thing. I did notice that the rabbit decided to sample a melon plant .

The pumpkins have been out there longer and just seem to be cut from different cloth than their sisters. They are way bigger than they were about 10 days ago. Maybe, it will be a good pumpkin year and maybe, the weather will be just a little kinder to the melons and cukes. That would sure help the squash, peppers, eggplants, and, really - everything!
