Among all my tulips, candy corner is the latest variety. The flower is much smaller compared with ordinary tulips. It might be just half of a Darwin-Hybrid one. Anyway, it's a robust, lovely, and colorful one.

when i discovered lily type tulips it really got me even further into collecting... all those pictures of ancient times and their flowers painted on tiles, yes, those were tulips! up until then i was only thinking they were the rounded and smoothed types of flowers.
Different flowers have different vase life, therefore, adding some new flowers can create a different vibe for sure.
The peonies look good in the garden, however, we would have rain later this week. Besides, this is a very young peony plant, cutting the flowers earlier can avoid unnecessary energy waste.
