Hi cwhit590, :welcome

Thanks for sharing your pics. What a show of color. :rainbow-sun I wish I could get mine that tidy though! I have some of that 'Love in a Mist' and it reseeds everywhere. I end up pulling it out like a weed!

I love the Shirley Poppies. They are some of my favorites. It is funny, I am the same way with distributing seeds everywhere; and I have given tons of seeds away in the past, but I find that some years certain things just do not come back.

For instance verbena, here is a plant that reseeds well and always displays for me, and then suddenly it just stops showing up! Odd.

I used to have Bachelor Buttons...all gone! I used to have the Double Shirley and the 'other-than-red' color...gone! Very Odd.

So I go digging down in my old seed drawers hoping I kept some from my many give-a-ways to friends and family....bummer! Nothing there.

So the things that we take for granted and some of the most prolific still have to be coveted here in my neck of the woods. This Spring all my Shirleys were red! So it may be that my Doubles and colors simply bred back to the original red!

I cannot wait to Spring hits so we can see next year's display in your efforts! Maybe we will get you into the bug of collecting seed only to gain devoted fans like us! LOL (is that a bribe?) LOL

Too cool!

Here is a picture for you from my Garden!

Thanks for all the compliments!

Hattie...the wooly thyme actually isn't fragrant...but it is very soft and fuzzy, and it feels good when you walk on it! It stands up to foot traffic well.

injunjoe....golf course? nah...the lawn is my dad's baby - he's OBSESSED with it. If it were my place there would be a lot less grass and a lot more garden....someday....someday.....

vfem....I found out about this forum too late! I would have saved more seed from this season but things are already dead/cut back/ready for winter. :/

journey11...Love in a Mist is probably my best reseeder! It doesn't need any help. ;) But I love the flowers and the seedpods...very intricate.

Greensage.....Poppies are my favorite flower. Especially the Shirleys. Just like you mentioned, when I plant mixed colors in the fall, they all come up great the next year...but over the years only the red ones keep coming back. I usually have to get a pack every year or so to keep the variety of colors going. The next type of poppy I want to establish here are the Peony-flowered Poppies....I've gotten some to grow -barely- but they haven't really gotten a foothold yet.
My second favorite reseeder is Catchfly (Silene armeria). I just love it (it's the pink stuff in my 2nd pic). Have you tried it before? I don't know if it would do well in the south...but it's a plant I would like to share with more people.
WAIT! I lied...I am a seed collector! :ya I looked and I have a stash of Hyacinth Bean seeds from 08....and some of Jung's Mango Melon / Vine Peach seeds from this season! No flower seeds though. :/

Love the containers. I have been sitting here for a bit trying to figure out how to plan my yard. And what I want to plant. Your pictures are offering some great inspiration.

cwhit... Wow!... absolutely stunning landscaping ... perfectly natural! Love the stone retainer! Thanks for sharing your talent and beautiful gardens... and experience!

I grow much of the same plants, Snow in Summer is one of my favorite ground covers. I got hooked on Gloriosas a few years ago, they are so bright and fun!
I've had much trouble getting Cardinal flower going, fourth try, but I will not give up! ... would appreciate any tips you have.... !! :)
