These were taken in my yard too, but I tried some night ice photography. It was challenging and cold to say the least. Focus in the dark (trying to focus on an object you can't see), and w open long shutter speeds are not easy. Trying to balance light exposure enough to see the ice sparkle, but not blow out the image.

As usual - BEAUTIFUL!
Expecially love the one in the 3rd set, 4th one down!
Thanks, that blue reflected in the trees in that on are from a neighbors bright blue holiday lights. I think you can still see the tiniest part of the eave peak still in the pic, I didn't crop quite tight enough.

Those pics are stunning, K!!! You should be submitting those to mags or contests somewhere. I've tried some night pics with my crappy Walmart bought camera but know nothing about how to use it to the best advantage for night pics.

I took one through a window of the full moon and icicles and you can't really even tell what it is unless someone would tell you what it is. I've tried taking the same kind of pics while outside with no luck.

I LOVE your pics, not only for the subject but the composition...you have a good eye for balance and color, and even the emotion, of a scene. Have you ever considered doing that professionally, if you don't already do so?
