My mom gave me a ton of lilly bulbs earlier this year. I planted them around end of February, begining of March. They have all grown up and are nice and green but when will they bloom?

It's possible that they might not bloom this year, but most likely it will be June-August. You will see the nice green leaves a good while before the stalk goes up. Once you see the stalk you are only a week or so away from blooms.

Aren't they wonderful, easy plants?! They are one of the things that I'm ALWAYS happy to help friends thin out...

Yea I thought it would be a possibility that they wouldn't bloom this year. I have irises that I got from my mom and my MIL earlier this year as well and they haven't bloomed yet either. I don't think they will bloom this year.

I can't wait since I have no clue what color anything will be. The MIL's irises are purplish-blue and sooo pretty.

i find those 2 types of perennials need a year after transplant before they will bloom again. they put most of their efforts into putting down fresh roots and regrowth before they focus on blooming. though if you have a type of day lily that reblooms you may find you'll get a few blooms at the end of the summer if they are doing well.
