The best place to plant in an existing vegetable garden would be along the north or east perimeter. If your garden is not large enough, can you expand the garden or plant them just outside the garden? You would only need to expand outwards by a couple of feet to accomodate a row around the perimeter.agirly4chicks said:Ya'll have scared me. My husband said they have to be planted by the existing veggie garden and not on another part of the property. So I will continue to buy at Publix and see how the first year of crop goes and then go from there I guess.
