That's how they do it. Their standards are tough. However it means what is released is darn near bullet proof.

As far as colors go I'd do 3 different ones but "kissing close" on the color spectrum. Like apricot, apricot blush and maybe white? Or an orange? Something along those lines.
That way as they fill out and you look at the whole perspective it's an easy transitions especially with the blooms probably overlapping a bit.
