A friend of mine had 2 knee and 2 shoulder replacements. Shoulder was definitely harder. But, it did not stop her from doing the 2nd one. It will be worth it very soon. And she lives alone. Your support will make it go smoothly. God bless.

We came home this afternoon. He has been sleeping in the recliner sofa we bought just for this surgery. Recliners have right hand levers and his right arm is ensconced in a sling. So we bought a recliner sofa and he is peacefully sleeping on the end that he can use his left hand to open the recliner mechanism. Wanna hear something funny? Both of us hate this %^%& sofa. It looks good, western style with big brass head nails, but our individual recliners have high backs that cradle our heads and no recliner sofa even comes close. Oh well, it is serving it's purpose--keeping him comfortable.

We have an appointment on Wednesday for evaluation to get started on physical therapy. He is eager to get started.

@aftermidnight I hope your husband is recovering from his surgery. I pray that this restores his health and gives him new vitality to enjoy living his life.

Thanks Bay, it's amazing the difference in him since he had the stents put in. He's had this procedure twice before, first time the fixed two blockages with the balloon treatment 30 years ago, had two stents put in 20 years later. This last time he had 5 stents, one was to replace a previous blockage, so far, so good. I'm sure glad the last couple of months are behind us.
Hopefully your hubby has a quick recovery and his therapy goes well. As to your sofa, as long as it's doing the job intended, that's a good thing, you can always sell it later and get something you both like or pawn it off on family, that's what I do ;).

Glad he is resting at home. How did we ever get along without recliners? Funny, I don't like those recliners with the tall backs. I feel like I'm imprisoned in them, somehow.

When I collapse in my recliner, I don't even want to hold my head up, that's the recliner's job! :gig
