We're there avocado slices? I wonder if you can sneak some imitation bacon bits into it.

I'm curious about your diet and hope you tell us more.

Additional ingredients, do they open any inappropriate doors?

No avocado, that's tomorrow.
Some nitrate free turkey bacon would be just fine.

It's just 'The 28 Day Fast Metabolism' diet. Books, websites & apps galore.
I'm really more interested in using it as a guide to develop lifelong healthy habits - but the weight loss is, of course, a FANTASTIC perk!

For all of those of you who are raising kids to know how to garden, to know what fresh fruits & veggies taste like and how to prepare them, to value REAL food - KUDOS TO YOU!!!!!
You are doing a wonderful thing that will have LASTING impact. I was raised on hamburger, boxed/powdered mix sides and a can of peas or butter beans now and then. Learning HOW to prepare & eat real food right has been a bit of a challenge. But now that I'm getting the hang of it, I'm loving it.

We tried the fast metabolism diet briefly. It was so expensive to switch to some of the special types of food for us, and it literally tripled my food bill, especially for the grains and nut butters. Some things I couldn't find, like the nitrate free meats. Even my own deer jerky recipe didn't qualify, since the soy and Worcestershire sauces didn't qualify. I do think its a good diet in principle though. I did lose 7 lbs. just by eliminating the list of things she said not to eat. Some of them I still avoid most of the time like sugar, but I have to have milk and at least a little cheese now and then. :p I think I will try it again in perhaps a bit modified form this summer when the garden is in full swing. It would be more affordable then. As far as the different flours and grains, brown rice was the only one I found to be affordable! It's hard when you have kids to feed too. They can be picky on some things.
