Oh, that's too bad. I absolutely love Crepe Myrtle. The first time I ever saw it in bloom was when I was visiting a Benedictine Abbey in Covington, Louisiana over 30 years ago. It lined a long walk way going to the Abbey Church. I wish I could grow it up here, but it would never make it through the PA winters.

That reminds me, need to get some crepe Myrtle planted around the new place. Had a 50 year old tree in front yard of old place, was stunning when in bloom.

I wish crepe myrtle could survive the north. They are beautiful.

Well, now I see little shoots coming up from the soil. We will have to just cut all the top off and have a little crepe myrtle bush, instead of a tree.
