I believe that MultiCare's COVID patients are going to their Deaconess Hospital. MultiCare brought in a large, temporary building about 16 months ago and put it in an on-street parking area right under one wing of that hospital. I have thought that this was a special part of the isolation wards.

. Just reading this about people treating themselves with Ivermectin for COVID. The Mississippi hospitals are becoming seriously In Trouble and some people are trying crazy livestock worming medicine at home. I wonder how that made sense to anyone for treating a virus??? :

I just talked to her. She has sepsis in her leg and they are admitting her for IV antibiotics and she does have AFib. Life would be sad without her, so I hope things can be fixed. I have heard about the Ivermectin and horse paste. Pretty crazy. I have used it on rabbits for ear mites and I was told to SHAKE that tube REALLY GOOD because it could settle and the rabbit would get too big of a dose meant for a horse. I gave them a pea size drop and the ear stuff would just fall out of their ears. A couple of rabbits got it again a year later and I had to redo them. Powerful stuff. I asked somebody about why would anybody use a horse wormer for a virus and was told it is also an antiviral and I never knew that.

there was some seriously flawed studies that people took as good ones and so some others then said it was worth doing and thus it has gone on since then. very similar to the touted q-meds.

as far as i'm concerned much of the current mess is due to anti-vaxer sentiments and since the virus is yet again coming around and claiming many lives and upsetting many plans it just a shame.

gladly so far this surge is not as bad as the previous ones, but i don't know when this will stop. i'm sure that each person admitted to the hospital is re-evaluating their stance as i can imagine each microcosm of stress that is for their families too. the reason it is not so bad this time is 90% due to vaccines.

the good news is that if you've been infected with the virus (and survive it) and then get vaccinated fully then there are signs that is the best protection you can get. i still wonder what is going to happen for those who've been pushed into diabetes or those who have the serious side-effects that they don't know how long these will persist. this is a potential long-term expense of the disease - we all will pay for it one way or another.

The BEST treatment for ear mites in rabbits... a couple drops of mineral oil in each ear, then gently rub the base of the ear to get it to flow into the ear canal. A couple treatments a day or two apart. When I worked at UCD Vet. Pathology , we got many rabbits from small breeders/ pet owners , this was the treatment of choice. as it worked wonders.

I've tried to pay attention to a guy with the Federation of American Scientists and doctorates in both epidemiology and nutrition, the last few months. He had something to say about the situation in Tampa Florida, a place that I have visited and enjoyed. Then, there was a comment from a doctor at Tampa General who said that she had made no public comments about COVID until today. She shared how overwhelmed they are.

At the hospital website, they have posted a short video below a notice: "do not come to the ER unless your condition is critical. " I don't quite know how we might know critical or not ...

The video is supposed to be "in their words" but it is mostly a chaplain speaking. I thought it was significant in that, even though there is no caption so I don't know what was said. Keep in mind that this is a private hospital and they want to put their best face forward, express competence, and not scare people. It's not the CDC, Fauci or mainstream media. Mostly, just a no-nonsense ER guy and a hospital chaplain ...

Kootenai has 91 this morning. I wonder how many hospitals he is including in that. Whatever it is, it is bad and going to get worse after school starts.

Curious how the overwhelmed hospitals in Louisiana are dealing with both a surge in C-19 patients and the hurricane, I looked at the Lady of Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. They have been receiving federal help for about a month through Homeland Security and had said that patients coming in during the hurricane will be in hallways .

Directed on their COVID-19 page to the Together Trial of Ivermectin, I find this from about 2 weeks ago:

I'm so tired of everyone shaming others, not getting the vaccine, not doing their part to help save the planet. I'm sick to death of them. A large group protested in front of one of our very large hospitals. It caused exhausted medical staff to sob. If only those protesting idiots had a brain cell.

They will eat processed food, all kinds of junk, drink energy drinks, etc etc etc, but they won't put "that stuff" in their body. Gimme a break...

Lafayette Daily Advertiser, "in the heart of Cajun country" reports:
"Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said 22 nursing homes and 18 assisted living facilities have been evacuated, though evacuating the largest hospitals was not an option because there simply aren’t other places to send them."

Entire parishes are under curfew with "all roads" having fallen trees on them. I don't know how 40 nursing homes were evacuated but can sure understand that they aren't doing that with the hospitals!

The storm has slowed so much that flooding must cover some of those roads.
