i have about 3, i think maybe a 4th in the bedroom upstairs. keep the largest in the kitchen-not sure but think this is a 10# since it is a large silver tank. 1 in the laundry room, the other in the living room since we have a wood stove. i think the last time i had to take extinguishers to the local fire dept they cost about $5 each to inspect & recharge if needed.

"Fun" fact - a typical house fire doubles it's size every 30 seconds.
If you have to leave the room to get that extinguisher.. don't go back, keep on going out the door.

funny thing happened today my extinguisher lady came today today to exchange out her loaners while mine were being serviced, we talked about them she told me that after 12 years it's cheaper to replace them than have them serviced a second time. which makes sense, she charges 20.60 to service a 5 lbs every 6 years, so at 12 years you might as well buy a new one... whats 40.00 for a little peace of mind.....

going to bring home a couple really old ones this weekend and spray them on part of the yard just to see if it helps the lawn....
