Garden Master
Well, acclaim it here!
If the most dangerous critter in the garden is a gardener dragging a hose - I've got an important skill !
No brag - just fact. Yep, I can do a pretty good job getting an unwieldy hose up and down the paths with limited threat to the tender plants crowding in from the sides.
The primary water for the smaller veggie garden and my cutting garden has not been turned on yet - so I don't have enuf pressure to run more than one hose at a time. That means I can't turn on the sprinklers. Dragging the hose around with a watering wand is tedious but until that water comes on, it is the best choice.
And stakes at the ends of the paths to help control the hose - I had a total of 2 and wasn't willing to move them around on about a dozen paths or drive the 4 miles to pick up more. It was get my hose lined-up and proceed with caution.
I've been completely around twice - took about 2 hours, each time. I only "smacked" one bok choy plant in the process and that plant may survive with only a broken leaf! It has come from experience and causing some real trouble in the past. I'm rather satisfied with myself for having learned this skill.
DW is skilled at being "empathetic" with the plants. Her: "Oh, there's something wrong with that one." Me: "Where?"
Some gardeners recognize pests from one side of the garden to the other - and know what to do about them. Some folks have the timing down tight. Some have amazing memories. Cultivating . . . trellising . . . design . . . preparing for the table . . . I know there are lots of skills out there.
Go ahead and brag on yourself a little - you deserve it !
