It is spring break here, my kennel is full. One dog is driving me crazy a 14 year old weimaraner , it has barked non stop, refuses to eat, ripped 2 toe nails out, bleeding everywhere. She is with me for 10 days, oh and I don't make a penny from her stay, she belongs to my little sister. 5 more days to go.

Well Weimaraners are one of those "velcro dogs." The dog might just be going nuts because it got separated from it's owner. Do you have a picture of your little sister to put in the kennel? Could help.

I use a bark collar on my dog. I use it for a day or so and it keeps her quiet for quite some time before zI need to use it again. There is one bark collar that releases a smell that they do not like. Only works a bit. It may be worth it to you for some peace of mind.

Can you give her some valerian? Or benedryl? She sounds a little anxious!
for her or me? She is 14 so kind of limited what I can try. @catjac1975 I own a few bark collars, at her age worried what a shock might do to her. My sister is not a dog person she looked up longest lived weimaraner 19, she thinks her dog will far outlive that.

Oh good heavens. Why have a dog if you are not a dog person? The dog collar that emits citrus oil instead of a shock might work. Might not. I think she will just bark. Is she at all dog friendly? Can you put her in with another dog, would it even help?

The good thing about the DogTek is it silences all the dogs, not just one and doesn't shock them. I've heard it doesn't work as well on little high-pitched yappers, but it should work on a Weimeraner.
