We copied your idea! I hadn't had a chance to show Dh, when he suddenly decided we should have an archway for our wild grape vines... So, I said "hey, how about using cattle panels?" He loved the idea, and a trip to Tractor Supply later, I have a great archway!! Thanks for the great idea!!

Pictures, pictures. Gotta have pictures. We have been discussing the same thing. How did you get the panels home?

I just went out and tried to get a pic, but I can't really get the metal to show up, against the sky. I will try again, when the vines are covering part of it. If you have a pick up truck you can get them home easily. You just kind of bend them in an arch and let them spread out to the size of the bed. Does that make sense? You can kink them, so you don't fold it, just kind of bend it into a half circle. I am using the panels in the garden for all the tomatoes this year, they work perfectly and are so far superior to any other support we have tried.

I LOVE catttle panels. They are what hold up 80% of the garden. Melon, gourds, cucs, beans and peas. Have to get more to grow tomatoes on. The cages always fall over before harvest. :(

Full size pickups work best, but I can get 4 in my little Tacoma. Tie downs are really useful to squeeze them together so you don't have them springing open on you when you open the tail gate. Some places will help you load them with a forklift, but my husband and I loaded the last batch ourselves.
