Late to this thread, so a belated Welcome @Jae !

I'm another big advocate & practitioner of soil/soul therapy, as part of grief management.

BUT...
do you have any local seed libraries?

plus there are some of us on-line who will send beans to people that want them. :)
You have NO idea what you would be getting into! There are so many generous bean growers here, you'd need a bigger mail box.

Hi, thank you so much Zeedman nice to meet you ! It's funny someone had offered to send me beans and I couldn't figure out how to email them so I've since lost that thread of that really nice person willing to send me some seeds. I love beans I eat them every day all kinds, I never knew you could grow, like white beans, pinto beans, kidney beans I usually grow the green beans. I know there's a lot to know so I an am amatuer when it comes to beans. Also I don't know what seed library are? Thank you for reaching out.

you can search for your posts in various ways:

- click on your avatar and then it should bring up your profile or something that you can then click on messages and go back and scan them (since you're just starting out you don't have that many yet :) )

- search for key words and filter results (use the search function)

- if you know it was in one of your threads you can also use the "Forums" pull down menu "Find Threads" -> "Your Threads" search...

as for sending someone a note (often abbreviated as PM here (aka personal message)) you can click on the mail icon and send people a note.

a seed library is a place that lets people exchange seeds - it can be set up any place but a local library or community center might work out well. you can talk to them about doing it if they don't already have one and then volunteer some time to work with it to help them out. :)

I'm sure this is rare but we have Little Book Libraries and Seed Libraries throughout our neighborhoods. They are little houses on posts. My husband and I always stop to see what they have while on our walks.

The seed libraries are stocked twice a year by the Alameda Backyard Growers of which I'm a member of. We have seed parties where we bag seeds to restock these libraries. We also pick fruits from people's trees and donate it to the food bank. It's fun picking fruit cause you get to bring some home too.

We have the little book libraries all around the neighborhoods, but I haven't seen one with seeds. That's super cool!
