What she should have been ashamed of is how do you let it get that bad? Unless the dog was just given to her.

Nyboy, I hope you charged her out the Wazoo for that shave! (In the interest of teaching her a lesson, if nothing else works)

Instead of endless brushing on my two Great Pyrenees this spring, I plucked them. I just pulled out hair and dropped it on the ground. They seemed to much prefer the plucking to the brush. I didn't get fine wispy hair all over me either, so I liked it too. It took longer-several weeks, but it turned out ok.

Lucky she wrote out a very large check. But I doubt that will teacher. To people hear getting what they want is more important then money.I hear " I don't care I will pay extra" all the time.

I do a combination of that, Bay...and I use a horse curry brush instead of a typical dog brush. I think the plucking must feel funny to my dogs, as no matter how gentle I am they still kind of flinch where I pull the down out. They don't move away or seem like it hurts, but they do draw up against it slightly.

Long about right now I'm glad I chose one of the shorter coated pups out of that litter Ben was in..... :D
