Mary, I didn't replant - I figured posting a pic here could provide information that wasn't carried in what I wrote, so, success there, I suppose!

I definitely don't like the falling stems... if I put a stake in the center (the thin bamboo kind) & tie it up, will it train it to stay that way?

You can stake it but don’t worry too much about it. Either way that plant should get pruned back in the fall.

Stake it now before it starts growing upward from that stem lying down.

Hi everyone,

I picked up a salvia (nemorosa "Snow Hill") the other day, and planted it the next, following directions to dig a larger hole, use soil conditioner, water, etc.

That same evening it looked "droopy" - I thought it was the weight of the water; the stems were spreading like they did when it was heavy from watering, but didn't return to upright.

Still like that two days later; otherwise, looks healthy.

So... I have no clue what's going on - any help appreciated!

i think it looks ok other than the branch that has fallen over. you can trim that off a bit and it will regrow.
