Duck poop water, how often to use?

We get very few scorpions 'round these parts, ma'am.

I don't really need convincing to have ducks... rather, convincing that they were worth the pain in the winter... ice everywhere. I don't think they're worth that. Unless they help me grow a big prizewinner pumpkin.
