Duckies can you get someone to plant those garlic starts outside for you? they should be fine. they'll do ok planted this time of the year (i don't think the ground is frozen there yet is it?)

those small cloves will figure it out all by themselves. just keep them from getting too overcrowded by weeds or drying out.

in pots it is harder to keep them alive IMO, especially if you forget them in the heat of the season...

Dunno if I can get any help Planting, but I have them potted up now, crowded, but I thought if I got some good roots on them Maybe I could put them out in some water jugs in a few weeks. :hu What do you think?
I have no intention on Growing them in pots, just keeping them alive and growing.

@flowerbug, would I still have a planting window this weekend? Temperatures are gonna be in the mid '40's and I have a bed available.
I just figured that it was Waaaayyyyy too late to put them out. Btw, These got misplaced bc I had them in my big garden and I needed to move tomato fencing and the garlic was in the way. SOME of this garlic got replanted last summer out there.
VERY TENSE AND FRIGHTENED!!!!!!
Make my day, @flowerbug!!!
The ground here isn't anywhere NEAR frozen.

no, not in water jugs, they just need to get in the ground. down about 3x the size of the bulb being planted.

they'll be fine, get 'em in the ground where they belong. :) the only worry is if they get completely dried out and they probably won't if there is some snow or rains this winter. even if the ground freezes the day after you plant them they will likely be ok. i've grown these for a long time here in really cruddy heavy soil and they survived all my abuses and ignoring them...

and if they don't survive i can send you more!

I want to give a shout out to Eden Bros, a seed company that I discovered a few years ago, and I just bought from again, yesterday. After my order confirmation, they emailed me a how-to-grow link.
We sometimes like to think that we are masters in seed starting.
I can transplant many plants, in many different health conditions, but I have a BLACK THUMB when it comes to seed starting, so I appreciate advice.
