Ya know, there is a lot of mislabeling. I planted around 10 packages of old "wildflowers" in various beds. Wherever any of them grew I got tameflowers, like here just to the east of my sweet peppers. Calendula, zinnias and a single sunflower.

Tomatoes look a little ragged, but they are producing for me, even though the volunteer plant in the big garden is teasing green.

Here's hoping that the sweet potato friends don't smother them out! At least they don't need watering.

2023 The Whole Seed Catalog (PRE ORDER), yes, aGAIN suckered

To be honest, I've never seen the point of getting the catalog (I still usually end up with it, through either spending so much they just give it to me or my mom getting confused and buying it thinking it's a gardening magazine or book.) There really isn't anything there that ISN'T on the Website, which is FREE and much easier for me to use.

Actually, no matter WHAT catalogs show up, I usually end up going to the website to confirm availability and to order. The only one I still order through mail is Sacred Succulents, and that's only because they don't HAVE an online order method.

Online also lets me know more or less RIGHT away if I actually GOT an item, when it is in limited supply (for example, every time I order and actual tree seedling from SS, for the period between when that check goes out to when the package actually gets to me, I have NO IDEA if the tree I wanted was still there when my payment arrived and cleared (SS tends to only have one or two of any living plants they offer.) And that makes stress).

Well, it really doesn't matter which plant triumphs. Squash is basically an above-ground sweet potato.

I am sure it would work. Every year MY tied up tomatoes rush to fall to the ground, anyway.

That falling off quality can be varietal too, if you're talking about fruits. Some let go much easier than others.

Dunno...I thought it was a calendula, but it might go to seed and regro.

Grow well for yourself next year. I had heard that the 2022 drought is widespread.
