DD Wasn't tuning me out at dinner, when she was nose to phone!
We have stocked up on practically EVERYTHING non-perishable, and some goods that have 6 months to a year before expiration. Now, where to store?
...hmmm...
My pantry, which hasn't been cleaned up since...????
I had started this, but now I am in earnest, since Now my kitchen table is full of Aldi bags of stuff that needs to go there.
Can't do it all in a day but I Can...get it, "can"... do this in smaller bites.
I am continuing to go through the jars of stuff I canned that not even I want to eat, like Why did I can jalepenoes?!?
Old orange marmelade...didn't like the runny recipe much. If I ever make it again, it won't be that runny.
Old peaches. Ya know those canned peaches in the story, "Holes"?
They would have been inedible, maybe, Possibly liquor after 100 years, so That was a fiction!
Anyway, I haul up 6-7 jars of inedibles, open them up and pour the contents in a bucket that gets poured out and covered with used stall bedding.
I clean the jars and lid and put a screw top on them. I clean the lids and carry to my trash can for recycled metal.
Starting to find space for the new stuff. I am also using a sharpie to put a readable expiration date, since you need a magnifying glass to read the print.
If I am brave enough I will take a BEFORE picture of my current pantry, to post with an AFTER picture.
Any thoughts?!?
