Agreed! :clap
BTW, we should really substitute our sugar use with honey, whenever possible, because of the antiseptic properties and other healthful benefits.
Isn't honey not to be used w/toddlers over health concerns? I love honey, use honey but too much of that will kill you.

Americans abuse 2 substances--sugars and salt. Actually carbs should be substituted for sugars.

Personally, if refined white sugar and honey were causing these issues why didn't we have the health problems before they introduced HFCS into most processed foods?!
We did.

If its NOT edible in one form
May I assume you are talking about corn? If so, in what form is it not edible, cornbread, pancakes, mush, polenta (for those that think it's different than just ground corn ) ? I eat it while walking corn fields. Now dried to 14%, plain, not the best food in world. I like okra, but raw, think not.
How many types of corn are there? More then just sweet corn, and people do NOT buy the corn we PROCESS into HFSC, or Ethonal. If you like eating it, I am sure there are 100 of 1000s of fields full of it you can have before it goes to processing.

As for the issues we had previous to process foods, 100% + increase to the people suffering from it is enough to know that you can't dress a lion as a house cat and sell it to me as a pet!

Yes, it's one and the same.

corn is corn altho there are different strains that have been selected for certain traits--dents, flints, popcorn, sweetcorn, waxy, opaque2, amylose. That fancy polenta corn is nothing but common 'ol field corn w/fancy, dancy name.

For those that buy that fancy box (or "health food" box)corn meal, you can duplicate it by going out into a field (ask permission first) and pick a few ears, air dry it, shell it, grind it in blender. Simple and fresh. quick note, it's hard on blenders. If you are going to make corn meal or cook polenta, you can let kernels sit in liquid, then blends easier.

Thank you Lesa, knew there was an age, just couldn't remember.

This is quite common among people who drink a lot of fruit juice. Another cause is drinks and foods high in HFCS. Read all of your food labels carefully. It is amazing where they hide the HFCS. It is even in some Delmonte canned tomatoes of all things! Sheesh!

They test for certain liver enzymes. Ultrasound or an MRI also shows the fat in the liver. The definitive way is by biopsy, but usually the first 2 along with other symptoms (insulin resistance, abnormal cholesterol, metabolic syndrome, etc...) are enough of a clue.
