At least the weather will be alright for driving to DD on Christmas for dinner. I hope DH won't want to leave right away. We haven't tried going very many places since his diagnosis and he's iffy about different or strange places.

Red how far away is DD house ?
Only an hour's drive away. Not all that bad unless the roads are snowy and slippery. I can handle an hour in the car -- although my hip starts to ache and my pedal foot goes to sleep -- but any further would mean a meal and a break half way. Of course, the pain starts a lot sooner on the way home.

I first noticed it yesterday morning on my walk, and my buddy Steve mentioned it on his weather forecast last night; the pavement is covered with millions of dead worms. The smell is very unpleasant.
