Let's see, the MidWest has had:
  • a drought
  • a severe winter
  • a very warm last few months
There has been records broken (in most every category) almost monthly for 3 years, right?

finally had a dusting of snow on the ground this morning. this weekend was a blustery cold in the 30's. during the rest of the week they are calling for upper 40's & 50's with Thursday being the highest at 60! then the temps look like they will gradually go down for a few more days to the mid 40's.

i went to the greenhouse yesterday to get Mom's gift card & was surprised to see seeds being sold. not a huge amount but usually by November this greenhouse has shipped most of them back to the suppliers. picked up a couple of house plants while there. i resisted the urge to look at those seeds but did looks at the paperwhites and amaryllis bulbs they had left. still wondering if i have time to get my daffodil bulbs in the ground.
