Is that Blue Flax growing in the background of your snail photo, Journey? I like it!

We have loads of wild blackberries growing all over the place around here. Pain in the back-end to walk through but we get a lot of berries from them. Perfect place to hunt for rabbits too.

Not sure...maybe that's what it's called. They are so tiny and delicate.

I like the wild blackberries better, really. They take care of themselves!

I prefer the wild ones too. The wild critters can also make good homes in them. They protect the chickens from aerial predators too.

Now that I see that you're in WV, that is probably not flax. It's native to the western U.S. And probably doesn't occur in a forest setting. They are sold in mixes of wildflower seed so.... it's still possible. :hu

Ya'll are killing me with these gorgeous scenery pics! I want to go hiking SO BAAAAAAD. My dog is too arthritic to come along anymore and I'm still waiting on the kids to be big enough to keep up. (And babysitting has been hard to come by these days.)
