How cool is that!? I dug up a tiny, self-seeded pine from my Mom's garden-carried it in a 5 gallon bucket on the backseat of the car. Now that tree is a good 30 feet tall! Gotta love mother nature!

It looks like my Douglas fir seedlings. But those aren't usually Christmas trees...

Fraser fir, maybe. It's pretty there in your landscape anyway.

There's an abandoned two room school about 50 miles northwest of here, where native pines grow. Last time we were there, there were pine trees of all sizes, from 3" up to 40 feet or so. I wanted to take them ALL!
