They are in beds, So Lucky.

I have about 300 square feet in everlastings this year.

Or, "had." The nigella & oats have been harvested & pulled.

My mom always grew those cornflowers. I am overrun by love-in-a-mist. One year I spray painted some of their seed pods gold and used them as picks in my Christmas decorations. Also, if you can get the deep royal blue love-in-a-mist, they make the most elegant pressed flowers, keeping their deep blue color.

I am not a skilled craftsperson, Journey.

Still, I have seen very nice pressed flowers and those on home-made paper are really charming. More than that, preserved flowers are "studies in nature."

Aren't they?

Steve ;)

Not too much skill necessary. I just squash 'em in a big book.

I like using them on cards and in scrapbooking....every once in a blue moon when I get a chance to do stuff like that.

I grew the straw flowers last year. Just had a few plants. They were fun- kind of forgot to plant them this year... That bouquet is a real beauty!!

That ain't a bokay, Lesa!

Just set the bunches down & took the shot.

But, thanks :). DW will do something with these in a couple of months.

Steve

Edited to add: i find all this stuff awfully easy to grow & "process." it is just a matter of cutting them about the right time & hanging the everlastings with a rubber band. the underside of the carport is kind of cluttered but they make interesting & pretty arrangements.
