All K, looks like we were left out. Here's the list of the 100 finalists... I don't see us. Awww.... Maybe 2014?! :(

I did see there is one guy on that whole list from NC, and he just happens to be from Fuquay where I live. I wonder if I know him?! :D

Thank you Mary, it totally made my year... nothing else seems to be going right.

Oh well, guess that means I can give my sister in law the recipe for her restaurant, she has been asking for it for a while.

Great pics and congrats on your placements!

I'm guessing your Plum Jam is cooked? We've had an annual family tradition to do freezer plum jam from our plum tree out in the yard... done it since I can remember (probably around 4 yrs old). The old tree still cranks out plums, but I can tell she's slowing down.

Have you ever tried freezer plum jam? I'm pretty partial to the way it tastes compared to cooked... but I'm probably biased after years of conditioning! ;)

I do love some great fresh jams without the cooking... but I like to be able to store mine longer. I always run out of freezer space too. :p

By cooking most fruits, you release the natural pectin... especially in plums... and you don't need to add any pectin. So ours has no added pectin, its just plums & sugar. YUM!

Final ribbon count (1 just showed up in the mail for my biscotti!)
