I will put out 2 or 3 pumpkins after awhile. They won't be carved until just before the trick or treaters are set to arrive :) ... hard to gain inspiration, otherwise.

DW will hang a witch. She informed me yesterday that she has found the olde witch in the garage so she will hang both olde and new since, "they are supposed to be ugly." Where they go, no one will see them unless they are already at the door. Okay by me because she leaves them right through until nearly Christmas :hu.

DW often makes wreaths with dry flowers but tells me she won't this year. Hanging them on the porch, they won't last more than 1 season with the wind and storage.

The front porch will look bare now that the large house plants have migrated back indoors. Soon the pots of petunias/pansies will go to the compost :(. Maybe, I'd better get those pumpkins out ...

I usually do some pumpkins and stuff out by the walkway. Same ol' wreath has gone up on the front door for a couple of years now. Ava colored and pasted a picture for me with every veggie she could think of and taped it to my front door, so I guess I don't have to get the wreath out this year. :D

I think I like Ava's creation best, too! :)

with the different colors of corn i got this year i should make a nice wreath or decoration with some of them. i kept the corn stalks too but they are hiding one of the sides of the chicken run at the moment. i did pick up some small pumpkins at the farmer's market this week. they'll be put out closer to Halloween. any earlier and they might become target practice for the local hooligans.

This is today. I was doing some cleanup, but it didn't include sweeping the doorstep or mat off.

Not to be mean hearted or anti holliday... just looking out for you and your family. Did you cunsult with OSHA before you set up those traffic hazzards at the very narrow entrnce doorway ? How about your HO Insurance Company to see if the "decorations" are an unessary safety hazzard and to see if you are covered in case of injury accident ? :idunno
