Laying some plastic over the seeds may help keep the seeds warm for better germination. Might want to remove the plastic on warm afternoons.

Our fall is here as well, although you can hardly tell. The highs are in the low 80's and the leaves are starting to fall. We had a storm last night - terrible lightening, but an inch and a half in the rain gauge.

My fall garden is thriving with broccoli, cabbage, brussels, spinach, squash, lettuce, raddish and beets. Now I just have to put out flats of pansies, snapdragons and violas.
