Fast growing flowers needed...selling home!

We are selling our home and need some fast growing and hardy summer time flowers quick! We are headed to Lowe's in a bit to pick up some stuff for the house to include your recommendation of flowers...thanks.

Cleome, (cat's whiskers) is fast blooming and showy. Around here hydrangea are in bloom now, more expensive but, a very impressive immediate bloom.

Zinnia

Maybe mix in some hardy mums if you can find them to start blooming when fall hits to fill in for the zinnia when they're done.

Some of those pre-planted color pots would be nice. You can hang them if you have the space, or you could place a few pots near the entrance.

So late in the season, I would choose what looks the best at the store...You don't have time to wait for something to bloom or fill-in. Good luck with your sale!

Geraniums are on clearance practically everywhere. They don't like lots of water, so watch, if you buy them, for yellow leaves which means you've overwatered. WalMart and farm supply stores have a lot of them still left, and uber-cheap. Also, look for some wave petunias on clearance. I even got impatiens for free at Rural King.
