The weather gets COLD. This is what I went out and brought in before the expected frost we did not get! (Whew)

Today I froze 7 quarts of tomatoes. The Kolrabi and jalapino peppers are in the fridge.
We planted a large variety in the expanded garden but where only able to keep the peppers, potatoes and tomatoes going. The rest was a bust. Too HOT and too DRY. Thankfully there is always next summer.

Nice haul, Carol Dee! :thumbsup Did you get a frost then? We have a frost warning here tonight, over 3 weeks early for our average.

Carol Dee, it looks wonderful!

My garden was frost-bitten but it survived. . . mostly.

I also picked & packed them out but - now that the pepper plants are bare of the larger fruits - the tiny ones are beginning to grow! I may get another chance to harvest them :).

The weather might be turning colder again after a week or so with much above average temperatures. Still, another frost isn't yet in the forecast!

Carol, did you pick all of the veggies or did you leave some on the plants?

Mary
I picked everything that was ripe (or nearly ripe) there is a LOT more still on the plants. So I am keeping my fingers crossed for a few more weeks of growing weather.
