I bet you know how things go after a cold spell, Carol Dee. IF the weather is warm, the plants seem to get in this big rush to mature.

Look at all those tomatoes! Mine have been done for a couple weeks now. We got the hardest frost ever in September two nights ago. I covered all my peppers with a tarp and then a blanket and weighed them down with bricks. Only ONE pepper plant survived- Cayenne. It must have been some frost because it just demolished all of my peppers. Thank goodness I picked all my poblanos the night before...

There is of balance here but it is still early and the air is thin but smoky . . .

I still have some green Tomatoes out there too! Safeway Cluster and Big Rainbow.
