yes i could send everyone a melon through " ups", but all your going to get is a yellow messy wet box... with that said.... no delivery..
so it's first come first served, @MontyJ could have been the first BUT NO @dewdropsinwv had his chip programed to come home right away....

LMAO!!!

Lets see Major...you're sitting there eating a sweet ripe juicy yellow watermelon, but hankering for a Crimson Sweet? :smackThat's from all of us melon challenged folks!

I don't plant watermelons anymore, but received some Charleston Gray seeds from a gardener up north who says they produce great for him so maybe next year.
I actually did start some this year, but hardened them off a little too extremely.
:oops:oopsie.

With the luck I usually have growing watermelon, I am happy to get mine at the grocery store. But they are very good this year, so no complaints there. In fact, I just took half a watermelon out of the fridge just before I sat down and opened the computer to check on TEG. I can't decide whether to eat that, or some of the left over home made ice cream I made on the 4th. I made it with half maple syrup, half sugar, and raw whole milk (so no gastric upset), so I feel justified in eating it till I pop.
I think watermelon first, then ice cream for dessert.

Congrats!!! Those are great!!! My best attempt at watermelons grew to softball sized at best.

Any home garden grown watermelon is a winner in my book.
