Please keep all firefighters in your thoughts who are fighting our nations wildfires. There is a major forest fire on the western edge of my city. 12,000 residents are currently evacuated or being evacuated. This fire is just one of many in our western/southwestern United States. The firefighters are truly heroes battling fires in miserable conditions (temperature, terrain, wind). Colorado Springs hit an all time record high of 101 degrees today with gusty winds.

I often ask a blessing for all fire fighters. Those that battle wilderness fires, those that battle structure fires and the 1st responders. May God bless them and protect them as they come to the aid of those in need. My son and DIL our on our towns VFD.
