What your dealing with is one of the hardest things to over come Anxiety. Dogs are den dwelling animals, the crate is modern dogs den. Move her crate into a quite dark room. I would keep tiring different medications. Unfortunately anxiety gets worse with age. I think failing eye sight and hearing has a lot to do with increased anxiety. Good luck

what about medical marijuana? I think its called CBD but I don't know what the letters stand for. There are two processing buildings within two miles of my home, they have huge really HUGE HVAC systems on the roof and bars on windows and doors.

CBD oil with the THC removed to a .03% is legal in all 50 states. It does act as a sedative for people with anxiety, maybe it would work for your dog. It comes in capsules for a more uniform dose than eye droppers.

@Carol Dee you reminded me of an Australian Shepherd I had many years ago, named Freckles. She loved to fetch-anything. I would set cans on fence posts, tell her to sit and shoot one off the post. She never really sat, more like a quivering with excitement squat, waiting on me to command FETCH. When she came back with the can, I threw it for her a few times, then back to SIT while I drew aim and fired. When I missed, she gave me an incredulous look and barked at me, plainly telling me how stupid I was. LOL LOL Best dog I ever had in my whole life.

I could make some joke or draw some analogies about why I'd put this story on this thread but I won't.

Suffice it to say, this is the most recent dog thread I have started so, I'll just put it here because of that :).

The First American dogs vanished

Steve very interesting because there is now a dog called " native american dog " which I always assumed was just a safe name for a wolf cross being kept as a pet

I have clients that swear by them, and some clients say it does nothing. I think it is up to the dog. For about $20 try and see

I think too that some people don't snug them down tightly enough, fearing it will "hurt" the dog, so get mixed results on their purchase. In order for it to have any benefit, it has to fit pretty snugly.
