I saw several hundred tundra swans Sunday and Monday evening feeding in a field with thousands of Canada geese. I was going to go check them out with the scope, see if i could find a trumpeter swan in there today...BUT its miserable freezing fog today and cant really see more than 100 yards!! Bah.

Well my fog cleared off by the afternoon, and I got to birdwatch for a while. Counted 197 tundra swans, and probably 500 Canada geese. Most coolest bird seen was a pair of western meadowlarks, yay spring!!

When we see Killdeer and Red-winged blackbirds we know spring is really here. The Silly Robins are not the best at predicting spring! We do occasionally see Meadow Larks but they seem to show up a bit later than the others. I saw the swans again this morning. :woot

I saw a Mockingbird yesterday. And crocuses are up! Daffodil sprouts are starting to emerge.

Snow on the way this afternoon though. The wind is crazy today!

I would walk outside, but I might get blown away! It's snowing here now. The temperature dropped 20* degrees from what it was this morning.
