Reason I wanted pictures was because I bought sweet potato plants at local nursery. They had 2 types, didn't know which was which. One has more rounded leaves, the other one is more pointed.

So here are my Georgia jet and Beauregard photos. The leaves look the same to me. I mulched them with grass clippings. They will need one or two light weddings and then the vines will give enough cover to keep weeds from growing.http://www.theeasygarden.com/forum/uploads/7100_sw_1.jpg[/img

You've got me salivating. I WISH I had time to devote to mine. Right now, I've thrown 6 store bought into the ground--our FS had a super-long waiting list, and nobody else carried them this year--and I'm hoping they will sprout. If they don't, they're still cheap at the grocery store. But....NEXT YEAR I'm ordering online.
Still, they've only been undergound for about 2 weeks. I waited like, FOREVER for my turnips and finally harvested these yesterday--

I planted the Sweets in the middle of May and mulched them immediately. They looked pathetic for quite some time. It seems to me they like a lot of water. I Water only when I absolutely have to. I don't find them a lot of work as long as they are mulched.
