Fishercat

Just like we don't have wolves in the lower peninsula of Michigan and we don't have cougars here either. Even with people producing carcasses of animals hit or found dead they claim its a dump from a drug dealers house.

That's what gets me we have more than a track or a blurry picture. We have actual carcasses of animals that were killed (I believe all have been hit by vehicles) so we know they are out there.

BJ, sometimes there is the 'offical' word that people who have supervisors (rangers) are required to use.
Been there.. just sayin'
:)

I was at the Boston Flower Show in the spring. They had members of a Ma wildlife organization with an educational booth there. They had pelts from many local animals. The fisher cat pelt was the softest fir I had ever felt. I see why early settlers were intoxicated by the beauty of fur. I assume it was road kill.

Steve, when it comes to badgers I'd be more concerned about the dogs than it. They are fierce fighters.

Well, I was, Hoodat.

It was really quite silly! Here I was going "Uh, shoo!" "Hey. Ummm. Go away." Kind of flicking my hands in the air.

The 2 dogs, a little stockdog like Thistle's and the other dog a strange mix that looked almost exactly like a Border Collie -- must have thought I was crazy! They just stood there looking at me, wagging their tails and kind of smiling with their eyes

Ugh, he just looks like he is up to no good! Glad we don't have them around here!
