@flowerbug we bought this little house in1965, when we tiled all the floors 44 years later, the tile job cost as much as we paid for the house LOL.
2 years after we moved in (when we were young) hubby and I built an addition on, a new kitchen and an extra bedroom. The stairway I was talking about earlier was a new entrance to the kitchen and :) inside stairs to the basement we no longer have to go outside to get into the basement. It's nothing fancy but it's home sweet home to us and as humble as it is I love it.

my hero! :) looks great.

when i redo the utility bathroom shower stall i'm hoping i can just use rust colored tile and grout. no need to fight this water staining. rust is an ok color. it's not like i have to look at it all the time... :)

When we gutted our tiny ugly bathroom and it came to what to use for the tub surround we went to a place that made arborite countertops. They came out and measured and made one to fit, no seams and easy to clean.

It's still tiny but a h*ll of a better layout now, when this house along with the rest of the houses on our block were built they were on wells and had outhouses, no inside plumbing. When the water mains were put in the people that owned this house took a piece of the existing kitchen for the bathroom, hence the small size. This is what it looks like now.

In the old bathroom the tub fitted between the open door along the wall and under a larger window. The biffy was beside the tub on the end wall, the sink was in the same place but was sitting on 2x4's no counter top. You had to squeeze between the tub and the sink to get to the biffy, I don't know what they were thinking:barnie.

I don’t get the desire for large bathrooms. The 3 S’s don’t need a lot of room and I don’t need company.
