Okay, Jarred - what is it that you use rhubarb for, that you are so fond of??
I cut all the flowers, but one. I was interested to know if the bees would be attracted to it...Interesting about the birds, sparks!

To start with rhubarb pie is the best thing hands down. Only thing that tops it is my wife's apple pie. Or if you don't want something so tart a strawberry rhubarb pie with fresh picked strawberries and rhubarb out of the garden is a VERY good way to bring any meal to a close.

We also make a good amount of rhubarb jam. We keep some and gift some to friends and family. They look forward to it every year at Christmas.

We also make rhubarb cookies found here http://www.rhubarbinfo.com/cookie and on the right of the screen is a list of other rhubarb recipes.

I'm going to try my hand at rhurbarb wine this year if we have enough.

Oh and a VERY well kept little secret....rhubarb jam poured over a couple of scoops of french vanilla ice cream is something out of this world.

:D

Jared I don't know about your secret but my not-so-secret is warm stewed rhubard mixed with fruit - strawberries, saskatoons, cherries, etc poured over ice cream. The ice cream melts and you have . . . :drool :drool :drool

I love warm fruit on ice cream. Thats the best!

Please post the bread recipe. Those cookies my sister in law made and brought to a family function. They didn't last long. They are a HUGE hit. She sent me that link for the recipe they are VERY good.
