Inquiring 6-yr-old-son minds want to know :p

All I could think of was perennial blue flax. What else opens at dawn-ish and is over by afternoon? Are morning glories finished that early? I haven't grown them for years and years and years, don't remember.

I was thinking each day lily blooms opens for just one day. But don't usually close until late in the day. Same for Morning glories. Then there are Four o'clocks that do not open until late afternoon! :happy_flower

My morning glories will fade by lunch time- if it is very hot. On a cloudy, cold day (you know, most of them) they last longer...

Well technically this doesn't count because they bloom at night and last until early morning, and it's an ipomoea, but Moonflower kinda qualifies.

Though it doesn't technically bloom in the morning, I thought of evening primrose. It blooms at night, and then closes by the afternoon.

My Okra flowers are never open in the afternoon (5:30) when I get home and water the garden. I think they're open around noonish.

Even tho they're a veggie, does that count?
