Flowers for winter

They are hard to kill-sorry. Lack of, or too much water? Mine is over 30 years old. I think I repotted it once. I am thinking it may need it again. The blooms are so long lasting it gives me great pleasure through this winter. 9 degrees this morning.

it is so nice when you have a sunroom.

When I was a kid, we lived in Houston, we had a bouganvilla out in the yard, it was gorgeous. I loved those blooms.

I have seen them outdoors in Florida. The grow like weeds!

Our backyard in Houston had grapefruit, kumquat, pineapple guava, oleander and bouganvilla, plus lots of other plants.

My parents' back yard in central Cal. consisted of the same plants plus apples, pears, plums, apricots , palm, and many types of roses, etc.

I will say the cactus is loving the kitchen window. Some blooms are 2 1/2 to 3 inches long!

If it isn't and Thanksgiving cactus, or a Christmas cactus, certainly not an Easter cactus...what is it?
