If I could get at them, I'd be able to claim them on @baymule 's harvest thread!

No veggie is more common in my garden harvest almost since I began growing bok choy about 20 years ago. I'm looking forward to the first of the season! What's it been, about 6 weeks since the last of what was in the greenhouse thru the winter?

These were started in the greenhouse and set out in the two covered beds in the backyard. Oh, those are mostly flats of flower starts laid across the center path. I need to get them out of the way so I can get to the bok choy!

I could go for something like that!

I really should be more imaginative. The stir-fry variables are the meats, and there isn't much variation there - sometimes shrimp! Additional veggies don't often go beyond green onions and cilantro. Mushrooms are common. Sauces and a splash of one vinegar or another: They add a little fun!

Wow Steve! That looks more like a green lawn than garden plants! They all look so healthy and gorgeous!

Time for a bigger greenhouse maybe? They look great. Hope you can work your way back there so you can saute some up soon! I like to get them before they get too big.

This is my second year growing bok choy. You greatly influenced me to try growing them. (I put out some shallots this year too!) Mine will be getting transplanted into a raised bed here soon.

We had seared ahi tuna last night, and i made rice with a drizzle of sesame oil in it, and stir fried the veg (red pepper, broccoli, asparagus) in part veggie oil, part sesame. The sesame oil was really good, especially in the rice!! I probably poured in about 2 tablespoons for a cup of rice. That might spice up your next stir fry night, Steve.

Stir-fry night, Heather?! I bet we have stir-fry for about 4 meals each week, probably more! We had a little variation with stir-fry noodles last night (store-bought broccoli, carrots). Of course, sometimes the rice is stir-fried right in there with the veggies, too.

Yes, I sometimes put sesame oil in. Just a tad and for a nice favor for a change. Fish, no. However, that tuna is never to be found in my kitchen . . . should check on its migration habits!

I have to confess to clicking the "auto correct" on the picture. The sun was setting and the flash went off. It washed out the colors. I'm never quite sure how things look on other monitors.

The greenhouse is "bulging." I was just checking to see what I can put in the shed-attached hoop house so that I can do a little more up-potting of tomatoes. For sure, I can't get anymore in there with the bok choy. Besides, it may be very cold by tomorrow morning so they will need to go in the other hoop house where I can get heat to them. Better yet, they can go back in the greenhouse after I'm finished tossing around some potting soil. There's floor space available! After tomorrow, more things need to be moved out of there into an additional "hoopie" on the lawn. Dang, I hope I don't have to start carrying things back into the utility room!

Heather and Steve, do you guys use a wok for your stir fry's or a cast iron pan? I really need to do more of this type of cooking but I don't have a wok.

That answer is a snap, Mary:

There are two smaller pans but they must just be "skillets." They have lids for when those are needed. There is a wok - it's in the basement, on a shelf.

Steve :)
edit: DW refuses to use any of the cast iron pans except a tiny one and that is not for stir-frying.
