That was beautiful Hattie,
Amazingly this flower is over 1.5 inches in diameter. Most of my other asters are half this size. I am just so glad I spotted it and now I can watch for a seedhead to form. I certainly could use a dozen more of these. I assume this type of aster is an annual form; I do have some perennial aster, but the blooms are so tiny.
I think of Georgia O'Keeffe often, I grow the Shirley Poppies out front and they remind me of her art.
